April 5, 2018 Meeting Notes

  • The Easter egg hunt was a big success.  Thank you to Stephanie Wyland for putting this together.  Even with the rain, we had a good turn out.
  • Benches are coming soon at the pond.  Spent $1200 and should be installed before May 5 meeting.
  • Along with new benches, there is a plan to add new bushes at the pond.
  • Signed contract to have the pond maintained to keep it from becoming overgrown again with algae and weeds.  $1800/year.
  • Election is May 5 at the pond from 11am – 1pm.  There will be hamburgers/hot dogs.
  • Resident asked that rental properties be addressed.  After discussion back and forth, most residents in attendance didn’t feel rental properties were any issue.
  • LED lights are scheduled to be installed by Cuivre River in the courts.  Once they are changed out, the electric bill will not change but we will pay off the improvement over the course of time through the subdivision electric bill
  • The sprinklers at the entrance are not working.  They are going to be looked at this spring.
  • Much discussion about street maintenance throughout the subdivision.  Residents will be contacting St. Charles County to report any issues in their area.
  • Police patrols through the neighborhood to address drugs or other crime.  Please contact St. Charles County Police with as much information as possible to make them aware of any problems.
  • Discussion of curfew, especially in the summer months and limiting issues around the subdivision, especially at the pond.
  • There have been problems with cars parking on both sides of the street making the road very narrow and making it difficult for emergency vehicles and trash trucks to get through.  There was discussion of on road parking and trying to enforce either allowing parking only on one side or limiting on street parking.
